There are newly available PeopleSoft presentations from HEUG (Higher Education User Group).  If you are not familiar with HEUG, it “is an international organization consisting of Higher Education institutions that use application software from the Oracle Corporation” [including PeopleSoft Campus Solutions].   Wesleyan University is an institutional member which permits you certain benefits.

Among the benefits are access to educational presentations on the HEUG website.

Each year HEUG holds the Alliance Conference described as “annual user-driven conference of Oracle application users from all over the world” which incAlliance 2016 skylineludes “400+ educational sessions in 21 tracks… presented by users, Oracle strategists and developers, and vendors.”

The presentations from each year’s conference are made available to all HEUG members sometime after the conference, generally at this time of year.  (Alliance is usually held in March.)  The Alliance 2016 presentations are now available on the HEUG site.  After being reviewed, links to many of the presentations will be added to the SFIS Blog for your convenience.  Included in most cases are a PowerPoint presentation (or a PDF version), an mp3 recording of the event, and sometimes additional materials.

If you would like to take a look at what is available, you first need to set up your login by going to HEUG.ORG and clicking Request Login in the upper right hand corner of the page.   Follow the instructions on the Request Login page.  Your Wesleyan email address will be your username.  The link to the Alliance 2016 presentations is on this page:  Alliance Conference Files.

commencement 2016 2BI Publisher Documentation/Samples:  There are a number of new documents and additional material relating to BI Publisher in the Blog beginning with the BI Publisher/ XMLP page.   On the succeeding pages you’ll find demonstrations to get you started working with BI Publisher Template.  (Pages are being added to periodically, and information in some areas may not yet be completed.)

To do a lookup of links to documents on this – or any functional Campus Solutions topic – go to the LIST OF LINKS page, and do a search (CTRL-F) for the key word(s).

tour groupsThere is a new page in the SFIS Blog under DOCUMENTATION.  It is named Lists of Links, and in it are gathered links found throughout the SFIS Blog which should make it easier to peruse the available documentation.  In addition to links connecting you to pages with Oracle/PeopleSoft documents, there is an extensive table of links to instructional documentation for working with PeopleSoft.   Besides being able to connect to the documents themselves, you can also go to the pages that provide more information on a given topic.
